Budgeting so far in our marriage has been one of our strong points.  However, this does not mean that it is easy for us.  It took us at least 6 months to get most of the quirks worked out of our budget and to the way that we wanted everything to be and to work out.  It still does not always work out perfectly but it is something that we have to have discipline to do every month.  When we get behind in working everythng out then it gets really complicated and hard to do but when we keep on top of it then our life is really easy and we can easily stay within our budget.  The hardest part is saying no to things that we want in order to put money into savings.  But when you do this then you have what you need when you need it.  For example, we are going to be needing a new car within the next year and we have almost all the money we need for it because we have been frugal and saved our money.
