In class we talked about how the quorum of the twelve hold councils and I thought that was one of the most beautiful things I have heard of.  It is so hard to be in this world but not of this world and I have often wondered how the bretheren never get hurt feelings if their opinions are not picked to be utilized.  It is all so clear now.  It is not who is right or who is the best but what is right (God's will) and what is the best.  With that frame of mind there is no reason to be offended and it seems silly.  I want to have this type of system set up for my family to make decisions when that type of decision should be made.  I hope that I can teach my children to have that type of mentality and not be so concerned with weather or not they are right but with what is right.  I talked to my husband about this and I think he will be able to fulfill his partriacle duties better because of this.
