Tabatha, Bryan, and Cosette

In class today we talked about the scenarios where the mothers were very protective of their children and the fathers not so much.  When I got home my husband was making some dinner and I was in there when my daughter who was chewing on an orange started to cough.  I immediately went over to her and made sure she was alright and my husband said, "She'll be ok just let her cough."  I just laughed to myself because this is exactly the behavior we had talked about in class only an hour earlier.  so I told my husband about class and we discussed how we could make sure that we don't grow apart because of our differences. I think these roles are very typical and we have to understand that we respond differently but it doesn't mean that we care any less.  We both agreed to be aware of our differences and not let those get between us or make us feel like one of us doesn't care as much.
